Simplistics complete 30 year journey with Fervor!

Simplistics coverFervor Records is thrilled to reissue the self-titled album by California rockers Simplistics on June 3rd, nearly 30 years to the day it was originally released. A band that is equal parts pop, punk, and surf rock embodies a sound that can only be described as California New Wave. Simplistics, playing under with the kickin’ aliases of Kris Karr (Skaie Knox), Steve St. George (Steve Schroeder), Bob Hotel (John Wardell) and Crazy Frank (Frank Servas), cut their teeth throughout the early 80s playing house parties across Orange County and San Diego – with their record winding up in heavy rotation on the legendary station 91X. Whether rocking out on the Sunset Strip or playing acoustic in-store sets in Tower Records, Simplistics made their presence known. They are a true rock n’ roll story; Skaie made balloon animals around town to pay for recording time, while Steve kept the lights on by driving limos. The band continued playing shows along the West Coast until 2000. Simplistics’ raucous, self-titled debut can be experienced all over again on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.
