Children of Aquarius – A Cult Classic from 1969

According to Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan possesses the honor as one of America’s most influential musicians. However, there are a plethora of Folk greats that didn’t ascend to Mr. Dylan’s iconic status but still deserve their voice heard. One of them, known simply as Marcus, cut his teeth in the early 1960s Greenwich Village Folk circuit crossing paths with the then unknown Bob Dylan. Jamming with Dylan and honing his craft, Marcus eventually landed across the country in the heart of San Francisco’s Psychedelic Folk scene. You could catch Marcus’ regular gigs at Brother Juniper’s on Haight Street. Marcus soon became entranced with the sitar along and the guitar drenched psychedelia of the era. In 1969 Marcus recorded his self-titled album, which initially found release on CBS Records and later on Light In The Attic Records. Fervor Records has now acquired this gem and offers you a glimpse into the soul of 1969 and the mind and melodies of Marcus with the newly titled release, Children Of Aquarius. Spotify | iTunes
