The Chimeras Are Mistaken for Granted

Mistaken for Granted - ChimerasAt the dawn of the 1990s, The Gin Blossoms catapulted to the top of the Pop charts and shined light on the burgeoning music scene of their hometown, Tempe, AZ. Gin Blossoms founder, hit songwriter, and major architect of the Tempe sound Doug Hopkins was fired from the group at their peak. Hopkins was quick to return to Tempe, team with Lawrence & Mark Zubia and form Chimeras. As the Chimeras rose to prominence, Hopkins tragically ended his life. However, the Chimeras forged on with their signature sound catching the A&R ears of major labels. Ultimately inking with Hollywood Records, they changed their moniker to The Pistoleros securing their place as Tempe Rock royalty. Fervor Records is now honored to take you back to where it all started bringing you the fiercely emotional Chimeras’ inaugural release on March 25th, 2014, Mistaken For Granted.
