Fervor strikes again in the NBC cop drama Chicago PD. The show snagged the Chicago Soul classic Take Me For What I Am by Henry Ford for use in episode 303. New Summer road trip comedy The Way, Way Back, hits theaters today starring Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, plus many more; and it features two 1970’s songs from the Fervor Vintage Masters series.
One of the underground classics you’ll hear is the quintessential 70’s Honky-Tonk Rock of Sandy Szigeti, in his 1974 recording Bringin’ It Home. The track recently became available on the Fervor Records Vintage Masters release Make The People Sing.
The other is a deep 1971 Soul cut from Henry Ford called Take Me For What I Am, which is available on the Fervor Records collection Vintage Soul 1967-1985.
