In the true spirit of Punk, Reckless Serenade chose to go it alone, opting to self-produce their debut effort. The band caught the attention of indie label Fervor Records who quickly inked the act. The New York quintet pull together an edgy Garage sound driven by iconic Punk Rock guitar hooks and appropriately snarky lyrics. The group successfully connects with a broad audience wading through the chaos of life with irreverent fun. Reckless Serenades’ video single, Two Years Too Late, showcases their fun loving attitude. The video currently airs on mtvU’s flagship show, The Freshman.  Experience Reckless Serenade in their video debut, Two Years Too Late.

Marialena Unlocked by Fans In Hours

ashley6

Fayuca’s deep cut from Barrio Sideshow, Marialena, tells the story of a forbidden love, where the beautiful girl is mixed up with the wrong guy and pines for another.  Starring Fayuca drummer Raf, this timeless tale weaves Luchadore masks into a tale as old as time.

The video, which was the second single from their Fervor Records debut, was promised to be released by the label if the loyal fans shared the announcement post on Facebook at least 125 times.

This task only took a matter of hours before it was unleashed and available to the eager Fayuqueros.

The flurry of excitement over Marialena caught the attention of mtvU, who had been reviewing a third Fayuca video for rotation (Por Que Seguir).  MTV networks were so impressed, they pushed the other single/video through and it is now in regular rotation on their college-oriented channel, mtvU.

Check out the video for Marialena on YouTube, directed by Matty Steinkamp (Sundawg Media).

Fayuca Emerges Victorious On The Freshmen!

Fayuca wins The FreshmenIt’s official!  Fayuca’s Por Que Seguir video has made it into regular rotation on mtvU, thanks in no small part to the fever of the Fayuqueros.

A couple weeks ago the video debuted on The Freshmen, a show that broadcasts on the college-oriented MTV channel.  It was up against 4 other new videos from the world at large, including an electro-pop duo from Australia.

Fans were able to vote on which one hits heavy on the air, and their choice was the all-Spanish single Por Que Sequir from Barrio Sideshow, by Arizona’s Latin Ska Punk trio Fayuca.

As the video itself proposes, there is definitely strength in numbers.  Thanks to all the fans and supporters for helping make this happen!

VIVA FAYUCA!

Barrio Sideshow is currently available worldwide.   Catch the revolutionary video in the mix on mtvU, or watch it here.
